Gunanday Lorikeets
Above is the acrylic painting of Gunanday Lorikeets – completed before the water tank mural
This 12mx3m water tank mural is called “Gunanday Lorikeets”, situated in the schoolground at The Macdonald Valley Public School – celebrating the traditional Dharug name of our local river. This transformed the old water tank in the center of the outside teaching area into a colourful focal point. The mural featured rainbow lorikeets and native vegetation and flowers with the Macdonald River (Gunanday) being the backdrop for the mural. The feedback received from teachers, students and parents was incredibly supportive and positive

Mid-Dural Public School
This 19m x 2m mural was inspired by the mascot of the school – the Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoos and the three native flowers incorporated into the school emblem, the Waratah, Flannel Flower and Golden Wattle. This mural incorporated all the handprints from the students within one of the Waratah flowers.
Windsor Public School Mural
This 10m x 3m mural is located at Windsor Public School on the corner of Dight and Macquarie Streets. Depicting rainbow lorikeets who regularly visit the school grounds. The background is a stylized landscape of the Hawkesbury River containing the handprints of all the students, the farmland around Windsor and the Blue Mountains in the distance.
Wisemans Ferry Public School Mural
This 2.5m x 14m water tank mural was funded by a resilience grant from Sydney North Health Network in response to the flooding events in 2021 and 2022. I spent an afternoon at the school and painting with the students and designed the mural based on the blue-faced honeyeaters that were within the schoolgrounds and busy feeding off the grevillea flowers when I visited.
